Going on vacation!

Yup yup!
You heard me right!
It's vacation time for me... And I'm super excited (besides exhausted!).
I'll be off visiting a very good friend of mine in Brasov this night.
Yay! ^.^
I'm finally going to spend some wonderful time, taking long walks on the streets of Brasov, chatting and drinking fine wine in the middle of the night with my dear friend.
Lovely!
Of course, I'll be back for my b'day party, don't worry... And don't miss it!

Balloons!

I love balloons!

Don't know why, but I just do!

They're so colourful and fun to have around...

You can play with them, squeeze them, pop them or just hold them up into the air.

I think balloons can cheer up anyone.

So, if you're gloomy all of a sudden, just buy yourself a balloon or two or three or... geesh! Buy yourself a tone of them!

Love Letters

I love e-mail. It's much faster and this way you can keep in touch easier with everyone: colleagues, friends, family, co-workers; especially with people from abroad.
But I really miss getting handwritten letters. There's just something about opening your mailbox and finding a handwritten letter or card inside. My first letters date back to when I was in my first years of school. I have letters from my high school days, from some old friends and old loves. All I receive now are B'day/Christmas/New Year cards from my dad (cause he's in Sweden) and simply lovely letters from my grandfather. His writing is so special and beautiful, that I'll always cherish his letters!
Now it's all about e-mail, text messages, Twitter or Facebook.
Still, every now and then I rummage through my box of letters and read them all over again. If you wait long enough, it's like reading them for the first time!

Don't you miss handwritten letters? Do you still send letters to the people you love and miss?
If you want to make someone's day, try sending them a love letter for Valentine's Day!
It doesn't matter if that person is your lover or just a good friend... it's nice to show the special people in your life that you care about them.

Actually I didn't fail anything... yet. I'm talking about my exams, of course, and my "fabulous" and "exciting" life. Really hate this nasty little exams period. It's seems that everything I do is wrong or insignificant. And my mind is full of OH, so much information.

Anyway, it'll soon pass and then I'll enjoy my mini vacation and B'day in peace and quiet... (hopefully... please? pretty please?!).

All I'm gonna do is just go on and do what I feel.

 

Cruciada Culturii

E timpul sa fim responsabili. Fata de frumos. Fata de cultura. Fata de arta. Fata de noi insine. E timpul sa repunem frumosul in drepturi. Fie ca suntem spectatori, artisti, producatori, critici sau promotori ai fenomenului cultural, trebuie sa luptam. Trebuie sa pornim Cruciada Culturii.
Cruciada Culturii este ideea unei miscari de reactie. Reactie la prost gust. La superficial. La vulgaritate. La mimetism. La submediocru. La subcultura. Ofensiva lor este, in zilele noastre, fara precedent.

Nu stiu ce sa zic de aceasta cruciada a culturii. Tot ce stiu e ca, datorita acestei initiative, Sarah Chang va concerta in Bucuresti pe 14 februarie, la Ateneul Roman.
Fascinant! La fel ca si pretul unui bilet, de altfel.
As vrea sa particip la aceasta "cruciada", ducandu-ma la concertul frumoasei si faimoasei violoniste, dar din pacate nu cred ca voi ajunge din cauza bugetului personal. :(

Sarah Chang este una dintre cele mai renumite violoniste la nivel monidal. De-a lungul timpului a sustinut recitaluri alaturi de mari orchestre ale lumii precum Orchestra din Philadelphia si din Londra, Filarmonica din New York, Berlin sau cea din Viena. Printre numeroasele premii obtinute se numara si Avery Fisher Grand Price, cea mai importanta distinctie din domeniul muzicii clasice.

Pe langa aprecierea criticilor, Sarah Chang a castigat si respectul publicului larg. Desi are doar 29 de ani, a vandut milioane de discuri in intreaga lume. Albumul "Vivaldi Four Sesasons", lansat in 2007, a ajuns in primele locuri ale topului Billboard din America, pozitie pe care o detine si in momentul de fata.
Dupa ce a incantat publicul celor mai mari orase ale lumii, Sarah Chang vine in 14 februarie la Ateneul Roman cu un program de recital de exceptie:
Cesar Franck – Sonata  in La major pentru vioară şi pian
Christopher Theofanidis – Fantezie  (în premieră)      
Johannes Brahms - Sonata nr. 3 op. 108 în re minor pentru vioară şi pian
